About

Jana was born and raised in the Czech Republic.

After studying directing and screenwriting at Film Academy she worked in Prague’s film and theater industry for several years. In 2003 she came to the U.S.

She studied photography at City College of San Francisco, and photojournalism at San Francisco State University. She freelances now and contributes her work to publications worldwide.

She dedicates most of her time to international reporting with main focus on minorities, women and explores the relationship between humans and animals.
