Olympic Torch/SF Protest
Prior to the day when the Olympic torch reached SF on its way to Beijing, protests took place all over the city. Mostly lead by the Tibetan community, people traveled miles to express their anger with China and its human rights record. The following day, as the torch made its way through SF with the assistance of hundreds of police, at the last minute, city officials changed its route to avoid aggressive attacks by the protesters.
