I’m a Czech photojournalist and anthropologist — a storyteller of healing at the intersection of medicine, humanity, and visual storytelling. Through my lens, I witness moments of transformation, survival, and resilience in places where life and death coexist. My work unfolds in spaces of deep vulnerability — medical missions, post-trauma environments, and recovery wards — where I strive to capture not only suffering, but also dignity, renewal, and the enduring human spirit.
What drives me is more than observation; it’s presence. I come in close, honoring both the patient and the healer. From burn victims and blind patients to exhausted doctors and war survivors, I document the sacredness of the human body — and those who care for it — with reverence, compassion, and shared humanity.
My work is guided by curiosity, respect, and the belief that storytelling can illuminate the unseen corners of care and connection.
I don’t just tell stories; I hold space for them.
I collaborate with organizations, NGOs, and publications that share a commitment to health equity and human dignity — creating visual stories that honor resilience and inspire action.
I’ve led student photo expeditions for National Geographic in Bhutan, the Canadian Arctic, the Czech Republic, and India, teaching photography and storytelling.
In 2024, I was named a Fellow International at the Explorers Club.
